Özet: In this study, it is tackling with their reasons how the universities have transformed from the first era that they had established to the present day. Firstly; we examined in what way the medieval universities had changed. Medieval universities education understanding was based on teaching. But; increasing with speed of globalization firstly “knowledge” and after that “information” terms have gained importance and this situation has effected formation of modern science understanding. Global changes have obliged the universities about adapting the market conditions like other institutions. As a result, the universities have begun to act like companies. They have begun to implement rules that are valid in the business world so that they can compete better. The fact that the concept of multiversity (entrepreneurship) has become established in universities has caused new trends. Also; how our universities has influenced from these global changes and what kind of problems it has encountered are another subjects in this work
