Özet: Korean War which began in 1950 and ended in 1953 by the agreement of armistice with the participation of 20 States is one of the significant war for Turkey as well as the World. In addition to being the first warm conflict during the Cold War, it is the first war for the Republic of Turkey proclaiming to send troops out of the country. Turkey has evaluated the Korean War as an opportunity to become part of the bipolar system of the world order emerged after the Second World War. The political, economic and military relations we have encountered with the US due to the war have been influential in our decisions of domestic politics. Primary focuses of this study are the Cold War period and then NATO organization which was formed by the bipolar world order. After the political conjectural reflections of that periods was elaborated on Turkey, decisions of DP for attendance of the war in regards of domestic and foreign policy implications have been investigated.
