Özet: In this research, the internet usage of the instructors of Gazi University, Gazi Faculty of Education in 2010-2011 academic year for educational purposes has been examined. The model of the study is descriptive survey. 100 instructors have participated in the study. In the research, a survey has been utilized as a means of data collection. In the survey, there are statements concerning the internet usage of the instructors for educational purposes. It is found out that on the average, the instructors are (sometimes) using internet for educational purposes. The frequency of internet usage of the instructors for educational purposes is not showing differences due to their departments. But due to their titles, it varies significantly. The frequency of Internet usage of research assistants is higher when compared to the frequency of Internet usage of professors and associate professors and Internet usage of assistant professors thereof. Besides, the usage also shows significant changes due to their gender. The frequency of the internet usage by male instructors for educational purposes is significantly higher than female instructors thereof.
