Özet: In this study, the linear dynamic stability of three layered orthotropic cylindrical shells in which elasticity moduli is varying piecewise continuously in the thickness direction, under external pressure which vary as a power function of time, was investigated. Firstly, fundamental relations, linear dynamic stability and deformation compatibility equations were derived. By applying modified Ritz type method general formulas were obtained for critical loads and dynamic factor. Proper expressions for homogeneous orthotropic and isotropic single-layer cylindrical shells were obtained as special cases. Then, effects of variation of elasticity moduli, loading speeds, number and ordering of layers on the critical parameters were examined.
