Özet: A torsional irregularity is undesirable in the earthquake resistant design of the structural system. Torsional irregularity affects the internal forces of beams and columns of reinforced concrete. Because of this change, required reinforcement area and construction cost may increase. In this study, the effects of avoiding from the torsional irregularity on the internal forces of the reinforced concrete beams and columns, and changes in the reinforcement area calculated depending on the force were examined. Firstly, no torsional irregularity structure is selected in the calculations. After, size of a column in this structure is modified and structural systems with torsional irregularity have been established to have different stiffness centers. Structures are analyzed with idecad7 program, and irregularities, internal forces and reinforcement areas were compared.
