Özet: In industrial applications, mechanical systems generate vibration during operation. Isolation is done to minimize the transmission of the vibrations to the ground on which the machine is placed. In vibration isolation, generally metal springs, rubber, flexible pads and similar materials are used. In this study, intensive studies of metal-rubber vibration isolating elements in the literature are taken into consideration and vibration-isolating element in metal-rubber structure is chosen as an alternative to other vibration isolating elements for industrial applications. Aluminum is selected as metal in metal-rubber construction and aluminum-rubber sandwich type isolation element is designed. The vibration isolating ability of the designed isolation element is analyzed with ANSYS finite element program. The results of the study are presented numerically and graphically, showing that aluminum-rubber construction can be used alternatively to other isolation elements in industrial applications.
