Özet: The purpose of this study is to determine the most suitable patch angles and trap lengths for repairing damaged galvanized pipes exposed to internal press using epoxy-based adhesive. Damaged pipes are repaired using adhesive bonding technique. Patches were used in different geometries to determine the optimal patch geometry for this repair. Galvanized isotropic pipes repaired using different geometries were subjected to internal pressure tests and pipe explosion pressures were obtained. Pipe explosion pressures were also determined by ANSYS analyzes and experimental and numerical values were given comparatively. In this study, the experimental and numerical results obtained have emerged as very close to each other. With this study, the effects of patch overlap angles and patch overlays on pipe explosion pressures have been presented experimentally and numerically.
