Özet: In the present study, the influence of steel fiber on the mechanical properties of ultra-high strength mortar was investigated. In addition to silica aggregate with a size of 0-1 mm and 1-3 mm, Portland cement, silica fume and blast furnace slag were used in the mortar mixtures. The steel fiber was also included in these mortar mixtures at 0%, 0.5%, 1%, 1.5% and 2% by volume. After that, the mortar specimens with the dimensions of 40 x 40 x 160 mm were produced from the prepared mixtures and the flexural and compressive strengths of these prismatic samples were determined at 7, 14 and 28 days after curing in water at 21 ± 1 ° C. The experimental findings obtained from this study showed that the addition of steel fiber was highly effective in improving the mechanical properties of mortar. The results also indicated that there was a significant increase in the flexural and compressive strength of ultra-high strength mortar with the increase of steel fiber ratio.
