Özet: Waste plastics have become important environmental problems throughout the world. Recently, recycling and recycling activities have gained great importance both for conservation of natural resources and for longer use of landfills.A recycling company operating in Bursa accepts plastic waste materials for recycling, which are formed in textile, car production, machinery, chemical industry, for consumption purposes. In this study, the workflows and processes used for the removal of hazardous chemical substances contaminants in plastic packages and for obtaining raw materials from high density polyethylene materials are presented. In addition, studies on occupational health and safety have been made in the plastic recycling / recycling sector and risk assessment has been done by Pre-Hazard Analysis (PHA) method in order to determine occupational health and safety risks.
