Özet: In this study, the activity of cyanide parameter in alkali media was investigated in gold-silver ores of Niğde-Ulukışla-Gossan. Mineral structures of the ore are; iron ore (limonite-goethite-lepidocrocite), zinc minerals (smitsonite-hydrozincite-hemimorphite), lead minerals (cerrussite-plumbojarosite), and gangue minerals (clay-quartz-calcite) are present. In addition to all these minerals, different jarosite forms in the ore are also compatible with Gossan ore structure. It has been determined with the ore microscope that gold together with limonite-goethite-lepidocrocite minerals. In the direct cyanide tests, gold and silver were gained with low yields. For this purpose, hot alkali lime pre-treatment followed by cyanide investigations was carried out before cyanidation. The amount of cyanide was determined at 24-hours and 60°C temperature, between 0.125-4g/L NaCN concentrations, while cyanide time studies were carried out at a concentration of 1.5g/L NaCN at 60°C for 1-84hours. As a result, it has been determined that between 64-97% Au and 55-76% Ag are increased.
