Özet: This study aimed to determine the characteristics of the Niğde Fault and geology of the field covers the south and eastern part of Niğde province which contains many geological units ranging from Paleozoic to present. These units, which are usually composed of metamorphic rocks, from old to young; Gümüşler, Kaleboynu, Aşıgediği formations, Üçkapılı granodiorite, Kızılkaya Ignimbrite, Karataş Volcanites, Quaternary fluvial sediments, talus and alluvium. Three dominant fault system in Central Anatolia control the tectonics of the region, basin development, volcanism and geomorphology. These are Tuzgölü Fault Zone, Ecemiş Fault Zone and Niğde Fault. In order to obtain concrete geological information on the Niğde Fault in the study area, two resistivity profile and S.P. (Self Potential) measurement methods are used. According to the electrical resistivity and SP data, the Niğde Fault is a fault zone in NW-SE direction consisting of at least three parallel probable segments. The NW edge of the Niğde Massif is the fault scarp, which was retrograde towards to SE direction, in the Middle Miocene-Early Pliocene time. The presence of thick slope rubble on the KB side of massif supports this idea.
