Özet: The increase in greenhouse gas emissions also brings about the impact of climate change. Carbon dioxide, methane, nitrous oxide and chlorofluorocarbons are known as greenhouse gases that affect global warming. The high emission volume of carbon dioxide gas is one of the important factors that increase global warming. In order to rationally calculate the amount of carbon dioxide directly affecting global warming, the concept of carbon footprint has been revealed. The increase in the amount of gas in the atmosphere led researchers to study on carbon footprint calculations in various areas. In this study, carbon footprint calculation of three higher education units in Bucak campus of Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University was analyzed. For the carbon footprint calculation, annual carbon footprint quantities were determined using Annex 2014 calculation criteria. For the carbon footprint, the total electricity consumption of the units, heating values, fuel types of the vehicles belonging to the personnel and the daily transportation values of the students were selected as parameters.
