Özet: In this study, removal with the electrochemical process of COD (Chemical Oxygen Demand) which is an important parameter in the treatment and discharge of textile wastewater was investigated. The real wastewater from a denim fabrication plant was treated by an electrochemical process using iron, aluminum, stainless steel and graphite electrodes in different combinations. The optimum operating parameters that are effective in the treatment process have been determined. Accordingly, the most suitable electrode pairs are iron and stainless steel, pH8.27, current 0.8 A, current density 48.5 A / cm2, conductivity value 4000μs / cm, the distance between electrodes 1 cm and 15 minutes operating time was determined as optimum conditions. Under these conditions, 91.25% COD removal efficiency was obtained. The experimental results were modeled by non-linear regression method using IBM SPSS Version 24 program. The COD removal efficiency was stated mathematically according to the change in pH, time, current, voltage, the distance between electrodes and conductivity parameters. Thus, it was determined that COD can be removed at what rate from similar textile wastewater by using electrochemical methods without an experimental study.
