Özet: Rapid urbanization and population growth that have resulted from technological development and industrialization are increasing human activities all over the world. The waste generated as a result of the increasing consumption trend has become threatening to the environment and human health. Waste vegetable oil is among the waste that must be managed in harmony with the environment due to its ecotoxic properties. In this study, it is aimed to determine suitable locations in Atakum district of Samsun province for waste vegetable oil collection boxes designed to increase the recovery of waste vegetable oils with the Stochastic Multicriteria Acceptability Analysis-2 (SMAA-2) method. In the study, criteria such as population density, proximity to tram stops, proximity to schools, and proximity to parks are ranked by experts according to their degree of importance. 11 alternative locations determined by ArcGIS, one of the Geographic Information Systems (GIS) software, are ranked using the SMAA-2 method.
