Özet: Changes in increasing demand for air transport from year to year-forced airports to meet the demand and makes airport system more complicated. Therefore; it becomes compulsory to assess the issues such as location and capacity of airports and expected growth. In this study, a second airport potential is evaluated as well as Esenboğa Airport that currently serves civil air traffic in Ankara. Criteria such as socio-economic indicators, spatial planning, transport development, environmental protection and financial viability stand out in airport development. After literature review and interviews with experts, the criteria were determined and weighted with expert questionnaires. Based on the data obtained from the questionnaires, it was evaluated by using AHP, TOPSİS AND ELECTRE methods from multi-criteria decision making techniques (MCDM) to which traffic level Ankara can meet the air travel demand with the existing airport.
