Özet: In this article, Mustafa Kemal Ataturk's basic characteristics as a soldier, a politician and a statesman are discussed. Firstly, academic and scientific studies, which are published in Germany's most important media and academical journals related to this subject, have been identified. Then more recent studies within these sources had been examined, especially focused on views of German statesmen, politicians, writers and scientists. In addition, detailed information about Ataturk’s presence on the German media had been included. This article examined opinions and comments of German’s about Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, who is the founder of the Republic of Turkey, a soldier, a politician, and a State Founder and moreover whose reputation exceeded the limits of state reform and had been taken as an exemplar by third World countries
