Özet: Insurance sector, one of the most important building blocks of financial markets in developed countries, is also one of the most dynamic sectors in developing countries. In contrast to developed countries, developing countries have great potential for the insurance industry. In this study, the position of the insurance sector of selected developed and developing countries in the world insurance market will be stated in terms of various criteria. However, the development of the Turkish insurance sector over the years will be presented and it will also be made an evaluation about the sector
