Özet: Institutional Investors are the financial institutions which collects savings from individual investors and direct this investments to the high efficiency funds. Institutional Investors with an increasing role in the development and with institutilization of capital markets around the world, have increased their importance with the globalization of markets. The purpose of this study is to consider the development of institutional investors in the Turkish Capital Market because of their increasing role in the capital markets. For this purpose as an institutional investor, mutual funds insurance companies and pension funds wil be discussed and their development in the Turkish Capital Market over the years will be studied
