Özet: Civil air cargo transportation had begun in early twentieth century via mail transportation in the world.Nowadays it is served to customers as diversified product range.The most important reason for preference for air cargo transport is to use time constraint the best among the modes. It is preferred because of delivery time speed, the least sensitive to geographic and political conditions among transportation modes. It has no alternative in some situations but we can say it is still in progress. Particularly after 1970’s with the emerging cargo and courier only operators a competitive market existed and these cargo companies submitted innovative products to air cargo transport market. Although new products designed in accordance with customers’ requests are the most expensive ones, the advantages make them preferable. These companies differ from passenger airlines to have distinctive management ,organisational and operational structures. With their distinctive air transport network, they deliver your shipment to unpopular countries and cities. Although the procedures of acceptance,storage and carriage for air cargo transport were determined,the procedures are updated in accordance with technologic progress and advices of air cargo transport authorities. Air cargo shippers are sensible to prices as shippers using other transport modes.but the air transport fees are more expensive than the other modes so as a consequent the air cargo shippers are more sensible to transport fees.Air cargo operators make product diversification to get rid of this problem. In this study , history of air cargo transport , logistics nomenclature and air transport procedures and particularly acceptance,storage, carriage procedures of special loads, costs, price and customer satisfaction were examined. Besides, conjoint analysis used to measure the effect of price on customer satisfaction.
