Özet: This research aims to determine the relationship between job satisfaction and alienation levels of teachers working in Public Education Centers. The population of the research is the permanent teachers working in Public Education Centers in Istanbul. In this study, groups consist of 183 teachers working in twenty-one public education centers in İstanbul Province were selected using the extreme cases sampling method based. Personal information form and the Minnesota Job Satisfaction Scale and the nation Scale were used to determine the level of alienation. For the analysis of the data, the “Independent Groups -t-test” was used to determine the difference between the means of two independent groups. A one-way ANOVA test was used to analyze the difference between the means of more than two independent groups. Pearson Correlation analysis was conducted to examine the relationship between the subscale (weakness, meaninglessness, isolation, alienation to school) and total scores of the alienation scale and the subscale (internal and external satisfaction) and total scores of the job satisfaction scale. Multiple linear regression analysis was used to test the extent to which the variables in the research model explained and predicted each other. It has been concluded that there is a moderate positive correlation between job satisfaction and alienation sub-dimensions. According to the results of the regression analysis, all of the alienation subscales can predict job satisfaction. The results of the regression analysis of the predictions of job satisfaction according to the alienation total scores, age, and professional seniority variables showed that there was a negative and high-level relationship between the total scores of alienation and job satisfaction.
