Özet: Nowadays, the number of high rise buildings is increasing. It is clear that a significant portion of these structures contain anomalies to the settled urban fabric. Depending on the location and functions of the high-rise buildings, the possibility of altering the sunbathing and winding patterns of the surrounding structures should be taken into account as well as bringing the heavy traffic load to the area. In this study, it is aimed to examine the advantages and disadvantages of high-rise buildings in the context of sustainability and the relationship between high-rise buildings and urban and environmental sustainability within energy resources and energy efficiency.
