Özet: Education is one of the most important factors that contribute to progress, prosperity and level of economic and social development of countries. Therefore, the expenditures on education become a great importance. In this study, the relationship between education expenditures and economic growth was investigated for the period of 1998:01- 2013:02 in Turkey. With this purpose, unit root tests, autoregressive distributed lag ARDL bound test approach and the Granger causality test were used. According to the results, it was determined that there is no cointegration relationship between education expenditures and economic growth. As a result of the Granger causality test, one-way causal relationship between the corresponding variables was determined
