Özet: Private health care institutions in the provinces of Kocaeli and Sakarya and nurses working in public health institutions based on their demographic characteristics of work-family conflict and life satisfaction were examined. SPSS 16 Statistical Packages for the Social Sciences program using the snowball technique and distributed surveys returned 213 of them interpreted the resulting data normality show that the non-parametric tests, "Mann-Whitney" and "Kruskal-Wallis” tests were used. As a result of the tests vary according to the age of nurses in their workfamily conflict and life satisfaction significantly negative perception of - the -way significant differences were found negative. Yet they live according to marital status of nurses work-family conflict and life satisfaction significantly there are significant differences in perceptions. In terms of number of children between the levels of work- family conflict - significant differences were found negative the number of children living with a significant difference was found between the perception of satisfaction. In addition, the demographic characteristics of nurses and healthcare organizations they work regardless of whether private or state-owned and familyoriented work conflict, as well as their family, work-related conflicts have been identified. At the end of the study, negative relationship were found between the work-family conflict and life satisfaction
