Özet: Climate change is a controversial public policy issue aiming to change or shape human behaviors leading to greenhouse gas emissions, particularly carbon dioxide, to prevent global climate catastrophe. In response to insufficient action in curbing emissions, recently there has been an increasing scholarly interest in exploring the role of narratives in climate change policies from a variety of perspectives. Adopting a functional approach to narrative analysis, this study argues various functions of climate change policy narratives mode of knowing, communication tool, legitimizing device, identity construction device etc.
