Özet: The discussions for the limits of the state interventionism occur in the centre of the economic thought. The purpose of this study is to research the efficiency of state interventionism in Turkey through the manufacturing industry that compose the driving force of the economic growth. The research of the economic policy that wants to be created in a specific period of the economic history of Turkey, in terms of both quantitative and qualitative, contributes for the solution of industrialization issue. In this study the economic policy and legal arrangements were investigated when the interventionism became concrete by the planning execution in 1963-1989. As a result of this analysis, the state interventionism was not efficient on the manufacturing industry.
