Özet: Tax reduction is the policy tool that is especially used to solve the problem of economic stagnation and unemployment. Due to possible positive effects, a number of tax reductions have been made on the Value Added Tax, Special Consumption Tax and income taxes, in order to eliminate the economic stagnation experienced in the last few years in the Turkish economy. This research was conducted to determine how these regulations were met by taxpayers. The survey was conducted in 46 provincial centers across Turkey, with a total of 1813 active taxpayers and a face-to-face manner. According to the survey results, 43% of the taxpayers stated that tax reductions increased their sales and 36.4% stated that tax reductions increased their savings.60% of taxpayers who participated to the survey said tax reductions would increase total savings in the country, 73.6% of taxpayers said tax reductions would increase total investments, and 67.4% of taxpayers said tax reductions would accelerate economic growth. This view of taxpayers seems to have been confirmed by the economic growth figures in the second and third quarters of 2017, which exceeded the estimates in the Turkish economy
