Özet: Globalization includes the development of economic, social and political relations in international markets, recognition of different cultures and beliefs, and intensification of inter-country relations. Global trade, global world and global competition are important subjects that have been subject to many studies in social sciences. Economic growth is one of the most important indicators of the development level of an country. Globalization, which increases the productivity of information and communication technologies, directly affects economic growth. The globalization index, which shows the size of globalization and international comparisons, is also influenced by economic, political and social dimensions of economic growth. In the study, the relationship between economic growth and globalization indices is analyzed by structural breaks in time series methods over annual models which are included the periods of 1970-2016 in Turkey. The findings show that there is a uni-directional causality relationship from social globalization to economic growth and from economic growth to political globalization. The result is that there is no relationship between the other variables.
