Özet: Inflation is one of the most important macroeconomic policy tools. Inflation has always been an important issue in economic theory and literature. Nevertheless, it should not be forgotten that inflation affects socioeconomic variables, not just economic variables. The aim of this study is to determine macro-economic variables that effect inflation in Turkey. For this, the main variables affecting inflation have been determined through literature review in the study. As a result of research, money supply, budget deficit, exchange rate, interest rate, foreign debts, oil prices and bank loans have been found to be variables that affect inflation most. Monthly data for the period 2010M1- 2017M12 were analyzed by Toda-Yamaoto 1995 . According to the analysis of the results of short-term money supply and oil prices cause inflation in Turkey. Especially money supply has a strong influence on the inflation. Other variables are not the cause of inflation. According to the literature review and analysis carried out in this study, policy makers are based on the basic principles and should take balanced and coherent economic decisions specific to the situation, the period or the country.
