Özet: The aim of this study is to learn and identify the evaluations and demands of foreign trainees learning Turkish language at ‘ISMEK’ in regards to “Turkish Course for Foreigners.” ‘Qualitative research model’ and ‘scanning model’ are preferred in this study. Study data is gathered based on ‘semi-structured interview technique’ which is one of the types of ‘interview techniques.’ The sample of this study is composed of a total of 15 foreign trainees, 6 female and 9 male, studying Turkish at A2 course in Mimar Sinan and Aydınlı Branches of ISMEK’s Tuzla Center. The preferred sample method used in this study is ‘purposeful sampling.’ ‘Categorical analysis’ which is one of the types of content analysis is used to analyze the study data. This study examines the data in 3 codes (Turkey/Turkish/ISMEK), 11 categories and 40 themes.  This study has confirmed 10 different results; some of these results are as follows: 1. 40% of the foreign trainees stated that “they came to Turkey because they ‘flee from the war’ in Syria.” 2. When they are asked about their opinions about Turks and Turkey, again 40% of them stated that “the working hours in Turkey is 08:00 - 18:00 which was 08:00 - 14:30 in Syria and despite of this, the salary for foreigners is ‘less’ and besides ‘everything is more expensive’ in Turkey when compared to Syria.” 3. Again 40% of the foreign trainees stated that “they learn Turkish to be able to work in Turkey.” 4. In regards to suggestions to teach Turkish better and to improve Turkish teaching in the world for foreign trainees, 60% of them said that “traditional Turkish cuisine should be introduced” and “companies such as Turkish Airlines are prestigious for Turkey.” 5. When foreign trainees are asked about their expectations from Turkish Courses for Foreigners at ISMEK, 46,66% of them said that “they require more activities for reading and writing in Turkish.”
