Özet: This research has studied the teacher semployed at Basic Education according to the irperceptions of their efficacy. In addition, their efficacy of the basic education teachers were examined according to independent variables such as their departments and age, their length of service, educational background. Descriptive survey model was used in this study. The universe of there search consists of 2613 pre-school and class-teachers employed at state schools in Izmit, Golcuk and Gebze in the province of Kocaeli. The sample of the research consists of 289 pre-school and class teachers employed at independent state nursery schools, nursery classes, and primary schools during 2016-2017 academic year. Simple Random Sampling was conducted to determine the sample of the research. ‘Ohio Teacher-Efficacy Scale’ was applied to evaluate the efficacy of the teachers. This scale was first improved by Tschannen-Moran and Woolfolk-Hoy (2001) and it was adapted into Turkish by Baloğlu and Karadağ (2008).The data was collected from the participants online. The data of the research was analysed with the SPSS 18 program. In the analysis of the data, ‘‘arithmetic average and standard deviation’’, ‘‘independent samplest-test’’, ‘’one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA)’’ and ‘’LSD importance test’’ were used. It was found at the end of the research that their perceptions of class teachers efficacy were high erthanpre-school teachers. In addition, the teachers employed at Basic Education according to their perceptions of their efficacy showed different characteristics in terms of various variables.
