Özet: The purpose of this study is to determine the opinions of the teacher candidates who are studying in the Social Studies Education section towards the School Experience lesson. The research was carried out in the fall semester of 2016-2017 academic year through 56 teacher candidates in the 4th grade in the Department of Social Studies Education of Akdeniz University. The quantitative research model was adopted and a survey called “social studies teacher candidates ' views on school experience lesson” was used, which included personal information and statements developed by the researcher as a data collection tool. The study data were analyzed with the IBM SPSS 20.0 program. As a result, it has been reached that it is necessary and important for the teacher candidates who are studying in Social Studies Education program to be applied but they are reluctant to apply the course.
