Özet: As from 2017-2018 academic year, the Ministry of National Education (MNE) has initiated foreign language-based class implementation in the 5th grades of the middle schools. For this reason, it is very important to determine the opinions of teachers and school administrators, who are program practitioners, about the implementation and to make the system more widespread and to conduct it more systematically and properly throughout the country. With this motivation, it was tried to determine the opinions of the English teachers and school administrators about the foreign language-based class practice in the 5th grade of the secondary school which is still continuing as a pilot application. The study adopted the case study design of qualitative research methods. Data were collected through interview form consisting of semi-structured questions. The study group consisted of 16 English language teachers and 4 school principals who were voluntarily working in the pilot schools in five central districts of Antalya. As a result of the research, it was revealed that the practice was positive, but some shortcomings of the practice should be ironed out and then it should be generalized.
