Özet: Icherisheher is considered one of the oldest cultural settlements in the world. This small city located in Baku, considered the capital of Azerbaijan, has a very old and long history. This city, which has an ancient atmosphere, includes many historical and cultural monuments as well as archaeological monuments. In addition, there are already touristic facilities such as hotels, restaurants and museums in the city. These facilities are currently being adapted according to the requirements of the modern age. The presented article talks about the role of the Icherisehir museums in the tourism sector. In the article, first of all, museums are considered as the main factor affecting the development of tourism in Azerbaijan. In addition, on this basis, the compliance of the Icherisheher museums with world standards is investigated. As a result, the role of the museums in Icherisehir in the development of the tourism area is researched and suggestions are made for further cultural development in this direction.
