Özet: The aim of this research is to determine the opinions of social studies teachers about the use of technology in their lessons. The study was carried out with the basic qualitative research design, which is one of the qualitative research types. The research group of the study consists of 10 social studies teachers working in the districts of Palandöken and Yakutiye, affiliated to the Erzurum Provincial Directorate of National Education in the 2022-2023 academic year. The data of this study were obtained with semi-structured interview questions prepared by the researcher and a voice recorder. The data obtained in the research were analyzed by content analysis. As a result of the data obtained, it was concluded that all of the teachers used technology-related tools and the smart board was the most preferred among these tools. According to the study, experiencing technical problems with technological devices and having internet access problems are among the most frequently mentioned problems by teachers. All of the teachers who participated in the study stated that the use of technology contributed to the lesson. In this regard, it has been determined that the technological tools embody the lesson, attract the attention of the students, enrich the lesson visually, and activate the students. In line with the results of the research, suggestions were made such as developing and enriching EBA activities, producing more content suitable for course topics, increasing the applications that will attract students' attention, and producing content open to teacher and student interaction.
