Özet: Leadership, which is considered as the fundamental and most important component of organizations, can be accepted as a dynamic structure with multiple definitions encountered in both changing organizational theories and leadership literature. When the evolution of leadership theories to date is examined, it can be said that there is a continuous change and transformation in the concept of leadership. In this context, it can be expressed that sociological paradigm shifts that have directly influenced organizational theories inevitably affect the phenomenon of leadership Based on this perspective, this study aims to address paradigmatic transformations in organizational sociology and theories, by linking them to various leadership approaches. As a result of the study, it was concluded that sociological paradigm shifts change the perspectives of organizational theories in similar ways. These effects were then evaluated in relation to the phenomenon of leadership in organizations, and it was determined that each organizational theory contained approaches that could be evaluated in accordance with certain leadership approaches. In light of these findings, it can be concluded that sociological paradigm shifts differentiate and diversify the types of leadership in accordance with the foundations of the relevant organizational theory, as they change their ontological and epistemological positions.
