Özet: The aim of this research is to determine the benefits, limitations and how it should be carried out of peer learning and to discuss the opinions and suggestions of teachers in order to reveal the effects on teachers' professional development. There are teachers' opinions on the phenomenon of peer learning in formal primary and secondary schools. In the research, interviews with the participants were completed between 01.03.2023 and 29.03.2023. The participant group consisting of 10 teachers working in primary and secondaryschools in Çilimli district of Düzce province was discussed. Semi-structured interview forms prepared by the researcher were used to collect data. Necessary adjustments were made in terms of meaning and content by interviewing field experts about the content validity of the research, and it was designed as a phenomenology, which is one of the research methods, in order to obtain in-depth information about what the views of teachers are on colleague learning. In the study, participants benefited from peer learning professional development, new method and technical learning, transfer of experience, cooperation, cooperation, solidarity, motivation, self-awareness, self-criticism and different perspectives. They state that their limitations are sensitivity to criticism, vulnerability, insufficient communication and lack of self-confidence, time, shortage of teachers from the same branch, and negative school climate.
