Özet: This research aims to identify the teachers' opinion on 8. Grade Turkish coursebook activities’ effect on creativity. For this purpose interviews were conducted with teacher. The study group of the research, which used qualitative research method and phenomenology design, was determined as seventeen Turkish teachers working in secondary schools within the body of Ardahan provincial directorate of national education The interviews with the teachers were made with a semi-structured interview form. Obtained interview data were analyzed by content analysis technique. According to the teachers' opinions, while the activities for writing skills support creativity, it has been concluded that other Turkish textbook activities do not contribute enough to creativity as they constantly repeat themselves and mostly measure knowledge. The suggestions of the teachers regarding the Turkish Lesson Curriculum and textbook activities are to include practices that require active participation such as dramatization in the activities, to enrich the lesson environments, to create original activities by not being satisfied with the activities in the textbooks when necessary, to diversify with activities enriched with different question styles instead of repeating the same type of question patterns. providing and promoting cooperation.
