Özet: In this research, it was aimed to examine the communication skill levels of students studying at higher education institutions providing sports education according to different demographic characteristics. The relational screening model was taken as the basis of the research method. The students of Karamanoğlu Mehmetbey University Faculty of Sports Sciences constitute the universe of the research. The sample consists of 358 (192 girls and 166 boys) students studying at the Faculty of Sports Sciences. The students participating in the research were selected by easy sampling method. The data of the study were collected online using the Personal Information Form and Korkut Owen and Bugay (2014)’s Communication Skills Scale. In the analysis of the data obtained with the data collection tools in the research, t-Test and One-Way Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) were used through the SPSS 22 package program. It was observed that there was a significant difference between the mean scores of the Faculty of Sport Sciences students according to the gender variable, and the communication skill levels of female students were higher than male students. No significant difference was found between the levels of communication skills according to the status of doing sports, the department they studied and the grade level. The research findings reveal the necessity of increasing the practices aimed at improving the communication skills of students of the Faculty of Sports Sciences of Karamanoglu Mehmetbey University.
