Özet: In this study, it was aimed to examine the leadership orientations of basketball players. 137 female and 183 male basketball players, who are active basketball players in the Aegean region, participated in the study. The measurement tool to be used in the study was delivered to the participants via 'Google Form' and care was taken to ensure that they participated voluntarily. It was applied to 324 athletes in total and 320 scales were considered suitable for analysis. The "Leadership Orientation Scale", which was translated and adapted into Turkish by Dereli (2003) and originally belonged to Bolman and Deal (1991), was used as a data collection tool in the research. Descriptive statistics, reliability analysis, independent sample t test for binary variables, Anova test for more than two variables, and Tukey test for difference between groups were used in the analysis of the data. As a result the mean scores obtained from the Structural Leadership and Political Leadership sub-dimensions of the participants differed from the mean scores obtained in both educational status and sports year variables it was revealed that it did not differ significantly in terms of gender, age, income level and the position played.
