Özet: The aim of this study is to reveal the current situation about life sciences course by examining the postgraduate theses and research articles about the course in Turkey. from 248 graduate theses and 116,827 articles found through online search, a total of 375 studies, consisting of 197 graduate theses and 178 articles matching the criteria were selected in the scope of the study. In the research in which document analysis was employed, the data obtained were analyzed by means of content analysis. Each study used in the research was divided into categories under the headings of purpose, rationale, method, data collection tools, measures to ensure reliability and validity, results and recommendations. As a result of the research, under the category of purpose, it is identified that “opinions of teachers, prospective teachers, students and parents about the Life Sciences course were examined” in 98 studies under the category of justification, it is revealed that the studies intent “to set an example for the studies planned to be done in the future and to make a contribution to the field” in 166 studies. It has also been concluded that the qualitative research method was chosen as the method in 219 studies, the document analysis technique was employed in 102 studies in terms of the data collection tool and the opinions of experts were taken in 78 studies on validity-reliability Lastly, in the result category, it was determined that the most frequent expressions were “According to the researchers, the use of various approaches, strategies, methods and techniques in the Life Sciences course affects students from various aspects (academic, attitude, skill and value)” in 82 studies.
