Özet: There are many directors who can develop a creative and unique narrative within the art of cinema. Federico Fellini, who is shown among these directors, has a unique narrative structure in the art of cinema. This situation has been a source of inspiration for many directors who have a presence in the sector. In this context, one of these directors is David Lynch. In this direction, the aim of this study is to evaluate the effects of Fellini's cinematic narrative style on David Lynch's cinema within the framework of the concept of intertextuality. Therefore, the similarities between the films 8½ (1963) and Wild at Heart (1990) chosen as the sample of the study are discussed in the context of intertextuality and by observing the common points in the film languages of the mentioned directors. These films have been analyzed with the descriptive analysis method, and the films were determined by the purposeful sampling method. In the movie reviews, the characters in Fellini's cinematography, camera uses, sound design, use of light, editing and space designs and the reflections of these formations on Lynch's cinematography have been revealed, the similarities between the two famous auteur directors have been detailed and it has been concluded that Lynch imitated Federido Fellini in certain points.
