Özet: Agenda setting theory of Mc Combs and Shaw is based on the view that the media sets the public agenda by focusing on certain issues through the way it presents news. This approach is also applied to sports media Many sport events are organized in today’s sportsworld. However, these sports events are not equally reflected on the pages of the newspapers. The editorial policy of the newspapers determines the interest of the newspapers in sports. Among the sports branches, newspapers allocate the most space to football, and they also show interest in other sports branches. The extent of this interest is determined by the status of that sport. This editorial policy of the newspapers also contributes to the popularity of sports branches other than football. In this study, the news of the Belgian newspaper DH Les Sports+, which was selected as a sample, between 17 September 2022 and 28 September 2022 about the 2022 UCI Road World Championships were analyzed by descriptive content analysis method. The research, based on four criteria, reveals what kind of editorial policy DH Les Sports+ follows in setting the agenda.
