Özet: In this study, the effects of changes in oil prices and exchange rate volatility on maritime transport and road transport, which are modes of transport used in foreign trade in Turkey, were investigated. The relationship between the variables was examined using the ARDL bounds test method using monthly data for the period 2013:01 – 2021:12. According to the empirical results obtained, it is seen that the increases in oil prices have a positive effect on both maritime transport and road transport, the effect levels are quite close. Also, the exchange rate volatility does not have a statistically significant effect on road transport but has a rather weak positive effect on maritime transport.
