Özet: Yakut is an incredibly significant and distinctive language for studying both old and contemporary Turkish languages. It encompasses various archaic features. The most important features of them are preserving primary long vowels, which hold great importance for understanding the historical phonetics of Turkish, Turkmen and Khalaj languages also retain these vowels, while Yakut maintains certain archaic structures such as the use of the dative case to convey the locative meaning. Yakut has been isolated from other Turkish languages since ancient times, allowing it to develop independently. During its evolution, it has been influenced by Mongol, Tungusic, and more recently, Russian languages. However, it has also retained many Turkish words from Old Turkic. This work will focus on exploring some newly discovered common words between Yakut and Old Uyghur.
