Özet: It is stated that museums, which are accepted as learning environments, have been reconsidered and transformed into an experience environment for child visitors from the groups they serve. Considering the reasons for his transformation with the changing definition of museum, it is seen that a point of view regarding the recognition of museums as an experience environment has begun to take place in researches on child visitors. As museums transform from a learning environment to an experience environment, they realize the meaning of children’s learning experiences, by preparing areas (such as galleries, play/learning areas) for child visitors, accepting children as competent social actors, seeking the opinions of children in spatial design processes, preparing their own environment for children. It is understood that they continue to support the concept of a child-friendly environment in the museum with awareness of the importance of open-ended/unstructured experience for children and adults and learning by discovery for children. In this study, which was prepared about the transformation of museums from a learning environment to an experience environment, researches on the subject and child-friendly practices were included.
