Özet: Is it possible to read a text not as a structure to which something is done (interpreted) but as a structure that does something itself? The readings of Gilles Deleuze, Giorgio Agamben and Jacques Derrida on Kafka's text examine such a possibility. Deleuze's reading considers the text as an effect machine. Agamben's reading can be understood as an attempt to move away from classical interpretations of the Kafka text. Derrida's reading makes the Kafka text the prototype of the irreducible nature of a text-reading experience. This study aims to show the performances of Kafka's text in three original readings, enabling and inclusion of interpretations directed towards it. Firstly, Deleuze, Agamben and Derrida's attempts to read the Kafka text will be briefly exhibited secondly, it will be claimed that the same text resists the final reading to open itself for future readings. Finally, this claim will be put forward as a claim about the structure of the text in general terms: The text is not a content that can be consumed through comments directed to it. It is a potential that encompasses the interpretations directed towards it and thus carries itself to the future in order to produce meaning.
