Özet: The aim of this research is to examine the knowledge of prospective mathematics teachers about isometric paper, grid paper, and dotted paper. Since it is aimed to examine the knowledge of prospective teachers’ about these papers, the case study method, one of the qualitative research designs, was preferred. The study group of this research consists of 85 prospective mathematics teachers studying at the faculty of education of a state university in the Marmara Region in the 2021-2022 academic year. The sample of the study was determined by purposeful sampling methods. In order to collect the data, the Recognition Test (TT) was created by the researchers. For the content validity of the TT, the opinions of two faculty members who are experts in their fields were consulted and a pilot study was conducted. In order to analyze the answers given, the descriptive analysis method was used. Examining the answers of the Recognition Test, it was revealed that the prospective teachers’ wrote the name of the dotted paper and the grid paper correctly, but they had problems writing the name of the isometric paper. On the other hand, it was observed that the prospective teachers’ wrote the characteristics of the papers incompletely or incorrectly. It is seen that the number of prospective teachers who gave the correct answer is low. It was observed that the prospective teachers gave examples of usage areas while writing their features, but they gave incomplete information or left it blank when it came to the features of the paper.
