Özet: In this research, it is aimed to determine how and at what level earthquake preparations are included in the Turkish textbooks used in secondary schools in the 2022-2023 academic year. For this purpose, what an earthquake is and the activities to be carried out before, during and after the earthquake are mentioned. For the research, 5th to 8th grade Turkish textbooks were examined. The document analysis technique, one of the qualitative research methods was used. In the findings section, it is stated how and at what level earthquake preparedness is mentioned in the relevant textbooks. As a result, the preparations to be made before the earthquake were not mentioned in the 5th grade textbook, but the preparations to be made during and after the earthquake were mentioned 6th and 8th grade textbooks do not include the subject of earthquake It has been determined that the preparations to be made before and after the earthquake are mentioned in the 7th grade textbooks, but the things to be done during the earthquake are not mentioned. Based on the results obtained in the related research, some suggestions about textbooks are presented.
