Özet: In this study, a research was conducted using the variables of gross domestic product (GDP), per capita health expenditure and mortality rate between 2000-2018, including all OECD countries, including Turkey. As a result of the research, it was determined that a 1% (10%) increase in health expenditures increased per capita GDP by 0.78% (7,8%). In addition, the decrease in per capita income during crisis and epidemic periods was found to be economically significant and the coefficient probability values were found to be lower than 0.01. It can be interpreted as strong significance. In addition, it has been determined that there is a close relationship between health levels and economic development levels by looking at the results of the countries subjected to the research.
