Özet: This study aims to evaluate the impact and approach of the National Reliance Party's discourses on the 12 March Memorandum. This essay begins with a general view of the process leading up to the 12 March Memorandum. Then, the politics of the National Reliance Party were evaluated by examining the newspaper, magazine and party program. The data collected during the study were processed by the analysis method. The sources of this data are books, articles, and newspapers. As a research technique, literature review and observation were used. The May 27, 1960 coup led the army to be intertwined with politics. The fact that the cadre who made Atatürk's revolutions were of military origin caused the army to see itself as the protector of Atatürk's revolutions after Atatürk. When Turkey was divided into right and left, the MGP remained outside the right-left debates by stating that it was only a Kemalist, and its discourses found a response in the army. Turhan Feyzioğlu said that the EP was helpless and warned the President. A year later, the military sent a similar warning to the president. Despite the low vote rate of the MGP, the fact that it took part in all the governments established after the memorandum indicates the army's support behind it.
